Um Artista e sua Obra...! - GLYN UZZELL
Glyn Uzzell nasceu em Swindon, Wiltshire. Estudou Arte e Educação no Goldsmith's College Londres. Mais tarde estudou gravura com William Hayter na Atelier 17 em Paris. Após trabalhar muitos anos em Genebra trasladou-se para o sitiou da Caramujeira no Algarve em 1979 e estabeleceu o seu estúdio e atelier de gravura.Tem exposto na Suíça, na Alemanha e em Portugal. Expõe regularmente no Cultural Centro São Lourenço durante mais de 20 anos. Em Inglaterra ele é representado no Rabley Drawing Centre perto de Marlborough. O ambiente influência grandemente o trabalho dele. Paisagens aludem-se mas sem serem apresentads de uma maneira directamente topográfica. O tempo, o lugar e a disposição do momento desempenham o seu papel em imagens ostensivamente abstractas masque revelam um ponto do contacto com o mundo visual, dando assim um foco atrás da imagem.
